The PCJWL (Pierce County Junior Wrestling League) end of season tournaments are now using Trackwrestling for managing the brackets. In the past, this has done by other software or by hand. The advantage of doing it through Trackwrestling is that it is possible to follow a tournament in real-time on the trackwrestling.com site:
- Point your browser to www.trackwrestling.com.
- Select “Browse” from the top navigation.
- Click “Tournaments” from the left content area.
- Click the “Search” button at the top.
- Type in “PCJWL” into the Event Name text area.
- Select “League Championships” from the list.
- In order to find your bracket, choose 8U for eight and under or 9O for nine and over. Then choose the weight group.
It is also fun to see the brackets from previous tournaments. Some of the coaches have been talking about investing in equipment that connects directly to the Trackwrestling system, which would save us manual work for every wrestling event that we host.
Vashon had a stellar tournament, moving on eight of twelve wrestlers to the League Tournament. The Rockbusters’ Colin McIntyre took first place honors and Ryan Nelson and Chase Bradrick both took second. Ethan, Joshua, and Mackenzie took third and Isaac and Moses wrestled to fourth place. Bryce will be an alternate, taking fifth, and Carlos wrestled to a strong sixth. Ferdie and Bo wrestled hard, but did not place this year.
Congratulations to all the Rockbusters on the strong showing. It was not just the kids who made it to Divisions who should be proud, but the whole team. It takes good practice partners to make good wrestlers. Of special note, Ryan Nelson was selected as an alternate, after placing fifth at Sub-Divisions last week. His second place showing at Divisions proves that if you work hard, you can never be counted out.
Next week is the League tournament in Spanaway. Here is the Flyer. Weigh-ins are from 7:00 to 8:30.

Vashon hosted the 2b Subs on Saturday. In addition to running a very smooth tournament, the Rockbusters qualified 11 wrestlers and 2 alternates to Divisions next week at Franklin Pierce. First place honors went to Mackenzie Walker, Chase Bradrick, and Colin McIntyre. Keep up the great work next week.
